                        Description
                        
                            Chondrorhyncha hirtzii (also called Hirtz's Reed, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the Mediterranean region. It grows to a height of 2-4 m (6-13 ft) and has a thick, woody stem. It prefers moist soils and can be found in wetlands, riverbanks, and other wet areas.

                            Chondrorhyncha hirtzii is used as an ornamental plant, for erosion control, and as a windbreak.
