Description

Cheirostylis rubrifolia (also called Red-leaved Cheirostylis, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Asia. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic plant, growing to 0.3–1 m (1–3 ft) tall, with linear leaves and small yellow flowers in summer.

Cultivation and Propagation

Cheirostylis rubrifolia is an epiphytic orchid native to tropical rainforests in Southeast Asia. It is best grown in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light. The plant should be grown in a well-draining, loose potting mix that is high in organic matter. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Propagate by division or by seed.
