Bulbophyllum perforans (also called Perforate Bulbophyllum, among many other common names) is an epiphytic plant native to tropical regions of Asia, Africa, and Australia. It has a rosette of small, narrow leaves and a single flowering stem. It grows in humid, tropical environments, such as rainforest and cloud forest habitats.
Cultivation and Propagation
Bulbophyllum perforans is an epiphytic orchid that can be grown in a potting mix of bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss. It can be propagated by division or by seed. The seeds should be sown in a well-drained potting mix and kept moist and warm until germination occurs.
