Description
Aspidogyne costaricensis (also called 'Costa Rican Aspidogyne', among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Central and South America. It is a small epiphytic orchid with a fan-shaped growth habit and long, thin, pointed leaves. It grows in humid, shady forests at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters. It is found in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil.

The flower of Aspidogyne costaricensis is a small, white, fragrant flower with a yellow center. Its seed is a small, black, round seed. The seedlings are small, green, and have a single, long, thin stem.
