Trichophorum analecta (also called Cottongrass, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe, Asia and North America. It has a tuft of basal leaves and a stem that is topped with a single inflorescence. It grows in wet meadows, marshes, bogs and other wet habitats.
