Description
Gahnia halmaturina (also called 'Halmaturina Gahnia', among many other common names) is a species of plant native to Australia. It is a small perennial herb with a single, fleshy, oblong stem. The leaves are long and narrow, and the inflorescence is a single, erect flower with a yellow lip and yellow sepals and petals.
Uses & Benefits
Gahnia halmaturina is used in traditional Aboriginal medicine for treating wounds and skin infections. It is also used as a food source and for making tools.
