Description

Gahnia filifolia (also called Thread-leaved Saw-sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial grass-like plant native to Australia and New Zealand. It has a thick, black sheath at the base of the stem and its leaves are narrow and thread-like. It is found in wet areas such as swamps, marshes and along the edges of streams and rivers.
