It is found in grasslands, savannas, and other open areas, and is native to Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Ficinia stirtonii has small, yellow flowers with yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and oval-shaped. The seedlings are small, with a single, oval-shaped cotyledon.
