Description
Cyperus zonatissimus (also called 'Zonatissimus Umbrella-sedge', 'Umbrella Sedge' and 'Umbrella Plant', among many other common names) is an evergreen, perennial, grass-like plant native to Africa. It has long, thin, bright green leaves and produces small, yellow-green flowers. It is found in moist, shady areas, usually near water.

Cyperus zonatissimus is a perennial herb that is native to South America. It can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate temperatures down to -10°C (14°F).
