Description
                        
                            Eriogonum giganteum (also called St. Catherine's Lace, among many other common names) is a species of wild buckwheat native to western North America. It is an upright, mat-forming perennial herb with small, gray-green leaves and small, white flowers. It is found in dry, open habitats, such as chaparral, sagebrush, and pinyon-juniper woodlands.

                            Vernonia leandrii is native to the southeastern United States and can be found in moist, sandy soils. It is most commonly found in the states of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
