Description

Verbesina hispida (also called Hairy Verbesina, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the southeastern United States. It has a single stem that grows up to 1 meter in height and is covered in small, yellow flowers. The leaves are lanceolate and serrated. It grows in moist, sandy soils in open woodlands and along roadsides.
