                            Tithonia brachypappa (also called short-stalked tithonia, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a woody base and a single stem that grows up to 1 m in height. The leaves are ovate and have a dark green color. The flowers are yellow and have dark centers.
