                            Tetrachyron manicatum (also called Mexican Thistle, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Mexico and Central America. It grows to a height of 0.5 to 1 meter and has a woody stem. The leaves are alternate, oblong-lanceolate, and have spiny margins. It is found in dry, open areas, such as grasslands, scrublands, and roadsides.
