Description
Taraxacum unguilobum (also called hooked-lobed dandelion, among many other common names) is an erect perennial herb that grows up to 1 m tall. It has a stout stem with spiny wings and yellow, daisy-like flowers. It is native to Europe and is found in moist meadows, grasslands, and along streams.
Uses & Benefits

Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Taraxacum unguilobum is a yellow daisy-like flower with a yellow center. Its seeds are small and black, and its seedlings are small and thin with a single stem and two small leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Taraxacum unguilobum can be propagated by seed or by division of the rootstock. Seeds should be sown in spring or autumn in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts. Division in spring. Larger divisions can be planted out direct into their permanent positions, though it is best to pot up the smaller divisions and grow them on in a cold frame until they are established.
