Description
Taraxacum nasiri (also called Nasir's Dandelion, among many other common names) is a perennial herb, typically growing to a height of 10-50 cm. It is native to Central Asia, and is found in the grasslands and meadows of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. It prefers moist, sunny, and well-drained soils.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Taraxacum nasiri has small, yellow flowers with long, thin petals. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings have small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Taraxacum nasiri is best propagated from seed. The seeds should be sown in a shallow container and kept moist until germination occurs. Once the seedlings have emerged, they should be transplanted into individual containers.
