                        Description
                        
                            Strotheria gypsophila (also called 'Cottonweed', among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the mountains of Central and South America. It has a woody stem and grows up to 1.5 meters tall. Its leaves are lanceolate and its flowers are white and tubular. It grows in open areas, such as grasslands and scrublands.
