                        Description
                        
                            Stokesia laevis (also called Stokes' Aster, among many other common names) is an herbaceous perennial plant native to the southeastern United States. It has long, narrow, gray-green leaves and produces a profusion of bright blue-violet flowers in late summer. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil and is often found in meadows, open woods, and along roadsides.
