It is drought tolerant and can tolerate a wide range of soil pH levels. It is best to sow the seeds in the spring or early summer and keep the soil moist until germination. Cuttings can be taken in the spring or early summer and planted in a moist, well-drained soil. The cuttings should be kept moist until they have rooted.
