                            Sonchus marginatus (also called Margined Sow Thistle, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is an annual or biennial herb growing up to 1 m tall. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, and it is found in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, meadows, and disturbed areas.
