                        Description
                        
                            Sonchus denticulato-platyphylla (also called Prickly Sow Thistle, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant that grows up to 1 meter in height. It has a basal rosette of leaves with toothed margins and a stem with spiny wings. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is found in dry grasslands, scrublands, and rocky areas.
