                        Description
                        
                            Soaresia velutina (also called Velvet Soaresia, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean region. It grows to a height of 1-2 m and has a woody base. Its leaves are alternate, oblong to lanceolate, and have a hairy texture. It has yellow flower heads with white rays and a yellow center.
