Senecio smithianus (also called Smith's Ragwort, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the Andes region of South America. It has an erect stem, reaching up to 1 meter in height, with alternate, oblong-lanceolate leaves. It grows in open, disturbed habitats, such as roadsides, pastures, and grasslands.
