Description

Senecio pattersonii (also called Patterson's Groundsel, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. It is native to Europe, and is found in dry, open habitats. It is an annual herb, growing to a height of 0.2–0.5 m (0 ft 8 in–1 ft 8 in). The leaves are alternate, simple, and lanceolate. The flower heads are 0.5–1 cm (0.20–0.39 in) in diameter, and are surrounded by spiny bracts.
