                        Cultivation and Propagation

Senecio ovatus is a perennial herbaceous plant that can be propagated by seed or division. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It is tolerant of a wide range of soil types, but prefers a slightly acidic soil. It should be watered regularly during the growing season and mulched to help retain moisture. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage additional blooms.
