                            Senecio mapuche (also called Mapuche Groundsel, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Chile and Argentina. It grows in dry, sandy soils in open woodlands and grasslands. It has a basal rosette of leaves and produces yellow flowers in the summer.

                            The flower of Senecio mapuche is a small, yellow, daisy-like flower with a yellow center and a white fringe. The seed is a small, dark brown, oval-shaped seed.
