Description

Senecio filaginoides (also called Senecio, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the high-altitude grasslands of the northern Andes. It grows to a height of 30-50 cm, with a woody stem and a dense, rounded crown. Its leaves are small, oblong, and covered in fine hairs. It is found in the high-altitude grasslands of Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela, where it grows in full sun and in well-drained soils.
