Senecio donianus is a perennial species that can be propagated by division or seed. It prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate drought. It is best to divide the plant in the spring or autumn. Seeds should be sown in the spring and lightly covered with soil. The seedlings should be thinned out when they are large enough to handle.
