Description
Saussurea pulchella (also called 'Himalayan snow lotus', 'Himalayan snow flower', 'Himalayan edelweiss', 'Himalayan saussurea', 'Himalayan snow-crown' among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with a white flower head. It grows in alpine meadows and rocky slopes at elevations of 3,000–5,000 m.

Saussurea pulchella has white, bell-shaped flowers with five petals. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings are small and have a single, long stem.
