                        Description
                        
                            Saussurea erubescens (also called Chinese Snow Lotus, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Himalayas and parts of China. It has a single stem that can reach up to 1 meter in height and is covered with white hairs. The leaves are lanceolate and the flowers are pinkish-purple in color. It is found in alpine meadows, grasslands, and rocky slopes.
