Description

Saussurea elliptica (also called Chinese Salsify, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant that is native to Asia. It is a member of the Asteraceae family and has a wide variety of physical characteristics. It has yellow flowers with a single row of ray florets, and its leaves are oblong and toothed. It typically grows in dry habitats such as rocky slopes, grasslands, and open woodlands.
