Description

Saussurea colpodes (also called 'Hook-leaved Saussurea', among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the mountains of Europe and Asia. It has a rosette of leaves and a single, hairy stem that can reach up to 1 m in height. The leaves are lanceolate and have a toothed margin. The flowers are white and have a diameter of about 2 cm. It grows in alpine meadows and rocky areas.
