Description

Ptilostemon casabonae (also called 'Casa Bonita', 'Pineleaf Ptilostemon' and 'Pineleaf False Indigo', among many other common names) is a perennial shrub that grows up to 1.5 m tall. It is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico and is found in dry, rocky slopes and canyons. Its leaves are alternate, linear-lanceolate, and up to 5 cm long. Its flowers are purple and clustered in small, globose heads.
