                            Philactis nelsonii (also called Nelson's False Daisy, among many other common names) is an annual plant native to the western United States. It has a single stem with a yellow flower head and lance-shaped leaves. It grows in dry, sunny areas such as grasslands, meadows, and rocky slopes.
