Cultivation and Propagation

Olearia rosmarinifolia is a fast-growing evergreen shrub, typically growing to 2 m (7 ft) tall. It is best propagated from cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. Take cuttings from the current season’s growth, about 10 cm (4 in) long, and remove the lower leaves. Dip the cut end in hormone rooting powder and place in a pot of moistened cutting compost. Place the pot in a warm, bright position but out of direct sunlight. Keep the compost moist and in a few weeks the cuttings should have rooted. When the new plants are well established, pot them on into individual pots and grow on in a cool, light position.
