Description
Mikania reynoldsii (also called Reynolds' Mikania, among many other common names) is a perennial herb, typically growing to a height of 1-2 m. It is native to South America, and is found in the grasslands and savannas of Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. It prefers dry, sunny, and well-drained soils.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Mikania reynoldsii has small, white flowers clustered in heads. The seeds are small and dark brown. The seedlings have small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Mikania reynoldsii is best propagated from cuttings. Cuttings should be taken from the tips of the branches and planted in a well-draining potting mix. Once the cuttings have rooted, they should be transplanted into individual containers.
