Cultivation and Propagation

Mikania houstonioides is a perennial herb that can be propagated from seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring or autumn in a light, well-drained soil and kept moist until germination, which usually takes about two weeks. Once the seedlings are established, they should be thinned to about 10 cm apart. Division should be done in spring or autumn, with the divisions planted in a light, well-drained soil.
