Elaeocarpus subpuberus is a small tree, typically growing to a height of 5–15 m. It can be propagated from seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained, sandy soil mix and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken from semi-hardwood and treated with a rooting hormone before planting in a well-drained, sandy soil mix.
