                            Malacothrix fendleri (also called Fendler's malacothrix, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It has a basal rosette of leaves with yellow flowers and a single flower head. It is native to South America and is found in a variety of habitats including grasslands and disturbed areas.
