Description

Leptinella atrata (also called Black-fruited leptinella, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to New Zealand. It has a fibrous root system and grows to a height of 0.3-0.5 meters. The leaves are oblong to lanceolate and dark green in color. It is found in grasslands and rocky slopes at elevations of 0-1000 meters.
