                            Leontopodium campestre (also called Field Edelweiss, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean region. It has a basal rosette of leaves and white flower heads. It grows in dry, rocky soils in grasslands, scrub, and woodlands.
