Description

Launaea crassifolia (also called Prickly lettuce, among many other common names) is an annual or biennial plant, native to the Mediterranean region, and found in dry, sandy soils and on rocky slopes. It has a basal rosette of leaves with spines along the margins, and the leaves are oblong to lance-shaped. It produces yellow flowers in the summer.
