                        Description
                        
                            Lasiopogon minutus (also called Small-headed lasiopogon, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a slender stem and grows to a height of up to 1 meter. Its leaves are oblong and have smooth margins. It grows in dry grasslands, deserts, and rocky slopes.
