                            Heterotheca canescens (also called Canescens Heterotheca, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to Mexico. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem that can reach up to 40 cm in height. Its leaves are lanceolate, with serrated margins and a pointed tip. It grows in dry, sunny habitats, such as scrublands and disturbed areas.
