                            Heterolepis aliena (also called Alien's heterolepis, among many other common names) is an annual herb that grows up to 40 cm tall. It has a branched stem and its leaves are ovate-lanceolate, with serrated margins. It is native to Central America and is found in tropical and subtropical moist montane forests.
