Gynoxys fallax (also called Chilean tarweed, among many other common names) is an annual herb in the sunflower family, Asteraceae. It is native to Chile and Argentina, and it typically grows in open grasslands and shrublands. It has a single stem that is covered in short, soft hairs and grows up to a height of about 1 meter. Its leaves are lanceolate and have a rough texture. Its flowers are yellow and have a daisy-like shape.
