Description

Gynoxys cuatrecasasii (also called 'Cuatrecasas's waxflower', 'Cuatrecasas's wax-flower', 'Cuatrecasas's wax-daisy', 'Cuatrecasas's wax-star' among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Andes of Colombia. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with yellow flower heads. It grows in alpine meadows and rocky slopes at elevations of 3,000–4,000 m.
