Description
Grindelia villarrealii (also called Villarreal's Gumweed, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant that grows up to 0.5 m tall. It is native to the Andes in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia. It typically grows in moist grasslands and open forests.

Grindelia villarrealii has small, yellow flowers with a white center. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are thin and have small, oval-shaped leaves.

Grindelia villarrealii is native to Mexico and can be found in the wild in the states of Aguascalientes, Durango, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas.
