Description
Gamochaeta purpurea (also called Purple Cudweed, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to the western United States and northern Mexico. It grows in dry, rocky soils in deserts, chaparral, and grasslands. It has a woody base and grows up to 30 cm tall. Its leaves are gray-green and covered with short, white hairs. Its flowers are yellow and bloom from April to June.
