                            Espeletia praefrontina (also called 'Espeletia', among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family. It is native to the Andes Mountains and grows in high-altitude grasslands and rocky slopes. It has a basal rosette of leaves, with stems up to 1 meter tall. The leaves are ovate-lanceolate, with a white-felted underside.
