                            Cota rayatensis (also called Ray's Cota, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a basal rosette of leaves, and produces yellow flowers in the summer. It grows in dry, rocky habitats, often in association with other species of cacti and succulents.
